OECD 442C: Direct peptide reactivity assay (DPRA) for skin sensitization
The Direct Peptide Reactivity Assay (DPRA) is effectively used to test the sensitivity potential of a chemical as a human health hazard on the skin.
The test, adopted by the OECD and the EU, measures the reactivity of a test compound with model synthetic peptides containing either lysine or cysteine. The assay is used to test between skin sensitizers and non-sensitizers.
